These terms are an agreement between you and José Antonio Caballero Martos, a sole trader established in Spain, of Avenida Ciudad de Barcelona 103, 28007 Madrid, Spain, tax identification number (NIF) [[TAX_ID]] ("we", "us"), covering the Vunali app and website. You can reach us at [email protected].

You must be an adult to agree to these terms. Vunali is made for young children, but the account belongs to a parent or carer, and only they can accept these terms, create an account, or buy paid access.

1. What Vunali is

A library of original and adapted illustrated stories for children of roughly two to eight. Narration is available only in the editions where we provide it. Five stories are free. The rest require paid access.

2. Your account

An account is optional for the free stories. A paid purchase requires an adult account. With one, your library and paid access follow you across devices.

You can sign in with a code sent to your email, with an email address and a password, with Apple, or with Google. Whichever you use, keep it secure: whoever can sign in can use your paid access. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access.

If you sign in with Apple or Google, losing access to that account means losing this route in. You can always fall back to a code sent to your email address, provided we hold a verified one for you.

Children do not have accounts and never sign in. A child reads on a device set up by a parent or carer.

3. Paid access

3.1 How they are sold

Paid access is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. Your payment is taken by Apple or Google under their own terms, and we never see your card details.

We offer a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, and a one-time lifetime purchase. Each paid option covers the stories in the paid library, including stories added later while Vunali operates. The price, renewal terms where applicable, and what is included are shown in the store before you buy.

Paid access is managed for us by RevenueCat, a service that receives the store's record of your purchase and tells us whether your paid access is active. It does not take or see your payment. See the Privacy Policy, section 2.9.

3.2 Automatic renewal

Read this part. It applies to monthly and annual subscriptions, not to the one-time lifetime purchase.

• A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it.
• The renewal charge is taken within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• The price, period and renewal terms are shown to you before you buy, on the purchase screen, and are also visible in the store at any time.
• Cancelling is done in the store, not in Vunali. On iOS: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store, Payments and subscriptions.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

3.3 Free stories

Five complete stories are free without a trial, payment card or countdown. They remain available if you cancel a subscription. Reading them does not start a paid subscription or a one-time purchase.

3.4 One-time lifetime access

The lifetime purchase is paid once and does not renew. It grants access to the paid library, including future stories added while Vunali operates. It does not transfer ownership of the stories or guarantee that Vunali will operate forever. See sections 4 and 7 for the scope of the licence and availability.

3.5 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, because they took the payment. We cannot issue a refund for a store purchase ourselves, but tell us at [email protected] if something went wrong and we will help you pursue it.

3.6 Your statutory right to cancel

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Digital content delivered immediately is an exception where you have agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged losing that right, which is what happens at the point of purchase in the store. This does not affect your other statutory rights, which nothing in these terms takes away.

3.7 Price changes

If we change the price, we will tell you in advance and you will be asked to agree before the new price applies. If you do not agree, your subscription ends at the end of the current period. A later change to the lifetime purchase price does not charge someone who already bought it.

4. What you may do with the tales

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read, listen to and download tales for your household's private, non-commercial use, while your subscription is active or, for a lifetime purchase, while Vunali operates and the purchase remains valid.

Downloads are for offline reading on your own devices. They do not transfer ownership. Access to downloaded paid stories depends on the purchase that covers them; the five free stories remain free.

5. What you may not do

• Copy, redistribute, publish, sell or lend the tales, text, illustrations or audio
• Perform or read them publicly, including in a school, nursery, library or on a stream, without written permission
• Remove or bypass technical protections, or extract the files from a bundle
• Use the tales, text or artwork to train a machine-learning model
• Reverse-engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it
• Share your account outside your household
• Use Vunali to break the law

Schools, nurseries and libraries: these terms cover home use. Write to [email protected] about an institutional licence. We would like to hear from you.

6. Who owns what

We or our licensors own the app, the tales, the text, the illustrations, the audio and the Vunali name. Nothing here transfers ownership.

Some tales are original works. Others are original retellings of traditional or public-domain stories: the underlying premise may be old, but our wording and artwork are new and are ours.

6.1 How the illustrations are made

Vunali's illustrations are generated with AI tools, to a written brief and a single house style held across the whole catalogue. We call the result a painted storybook style, because that is what it looks like. We never call it hand-painted, because that is not how it is made.

This changes nothing about your rights under these terms, and nothing about ownership: the briefs, the style and the resulting artwork are ours or our licensors'.

7. Availability

We try to keep Vunali working, but we do not promise it will always be available or fault-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may remove a tale from the catalogue, for example if a rights position changes.

If we materially reduce what your paid access gives you, tell us and we will put it right, subject to your statutory rights.

8. Ending this agreement

You may stop using Vunali at any time, delete your account from the Parent Room, and cancel a recurring subscription in the store. A one-time lifetime purchase does not renew and cannot be cancelled as a subscription. Deleting your Vunali account does not by itself cancel store billing or issue a refund.

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms. Except where the law requires immediate action, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we end your access without good reason, we will address your paid purchase in line with the store's process and your statutory rights.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this section.

Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses, since Vunali is a consumer product.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Vunali after that means you accept the change; if you do not, you may cancel.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Spain.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own local courts. Nothing here changes that.

Please write to us first at [email protected], because most problems are quicker to put right than to litigate. We will answer within 30 days. If you are a consumer in Spain you may also approach the consumer arbitration system (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo) or your regional consumer authority.
